So How Can I Overcome This 404 Error?

Connect your site using FTP, if you haven’t any ftp client you can get one here for free. Now see, is there any .htaccess file in your websites’s root directory or in public_html folder? If you don’t see any .htaccess file create one and paste below code in it then save and upload, if you see .htaccess file already in there, rename that and upload new one using below code. This code is nothing but WordPress default .htaccess code. If everything else is ok then corrupt or missing .htaccess file causing your 404 error!

# BEGIN WordPress
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
# END WordPress

Use above code in your new .htaccess file and make sure correctly spelling .htaccess as the file name then upload and check your site. There should not be any 404 issue now.
